It’s already summer in the City! Station North was cooking with Dan Deacon last Friday. This weekend, folks flocked to the Inner Harbor and other attractions resulting in through-the-roof attendance at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, the National Aquarium, and the Science Center.
Sadly, and amidst all the buzz and excitement, we heard last week that the Contemporary Art Museum has announced a pause in its operations. It is good to know this is only a pause and that it will offer the Board a chance to regroup for a stronger future. The importance of the Contemporary to Baltimore was beautifully expressed in a Baltimore Sun editorial this morning. We share their good wishes for the museum’s future stability and success.
Thank you to those of you who plan to attend our next Happy Hour at In-Flight Theater on June 4. With such a high demand and limited space, we have to stop taking RSVPs. Mara Neimanis is a star, so be sure to catch one of her upcoming performances. Keep your eyes out for our next Brown Bag in late June with Peter Bruun and a Happy Hour that will take place on August 6 at the Windup Space. Russell De Ocampo is cooking up a salon…
I’d like to extend a special thank you to The Wine Source who has signed on as a sponsor of GBCA. We are deeply grateful.
