Thank you Ray Lewis for your contributions to the world of dance!

Executive Director’s Letter
February 5, 2013

The Ravens not only brought home the Lombardi trophy, but several Baltimore area cultural organizations and GBCA members got in on the action and have won victories over their counterparts in San Francisco.

The Baltimore Symphony waged a friendly social media war with the San Francisco Symphony and who knows, may have been the Ravens secret weapon!  Take a look at their rendition of “Hail to the Ravens.”  Thanks to the Enoch Pratt Free Library, city Librarian Luis Herrera must now recite Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven” in the atrium of the San Francisco Public Library wearing a Ravens jersey.

Speaking of rivalries, the Chronicle of Philanthropy compared the philanthropic generosity of Baltimoreans versus San Franciscans.  It turns out that Baltimore is ahead on a per capita basis—go Baltimore!

Don’t forget about GBCA’s Brown Bag this Friday at The Maryland Historical Society. Come on out and learn more about The Affordable Care Act.

All the best,
Jeannie

P.S.  Thank you Ray Lewis for your contributions to the world of dance!
