Executive Director’s Letter
March 19, 2013
Can you feel it? In the midst of Maryland weather insanity, spring is making its presence known. From intrepid daffodils budding under snow to the return of bird songs in the morning, it’s just around the corner and we can’t wait. This is a great time to start planning your outdoor experiences—the BMA sculpture garden, a topiary, parks—the Baltimore region has it all. For those of you interested in exploring the city, check out Visit Baltimore’s new mobile application to help “…uncover all the exciting events, restaurants, attractions, and more.”
This is also a great time to discover our past through the lens of the War of 1812 and the 100th anniversary of the death of Harriet Tubman. Check out the many Baltimore National Heritage Area walking tours including Mt. Vernon, Pennsylvania Avenue, and Fells Point.
